I am a seabee wife and I hope to undertake this project myself while hubby is deployed for my daughter's 6th birthday. It looked fairly simple, and I have every tool imaginable at my disposal. I wanted to make one that attaches to the wall to avoid all the bulky framing underneath, but didn't know where to start. You've done the work for me. I saw your pictures and I thought that's exactly what I had designed in my head!

Well, here is a picture of the bed I just completed for my girl. I did change a few things from your plan you may notice. Made it look a little more dainty. Still super solid. She and I were both up there making the bed, didn't even creak.
